Luxembourg om my trusty iron horse, the Yamaha T7
I had some days of so I decided to explore Luxembourg. I decided I will camp three nights, every time in a new camp and spend my days riding and doing sightseeing.
The whole trip was 850km but getting there from West Vlaandren too soem hours in the saddle because I avoided the main highways. I wanted to experience the rural roads.
I walked to town from the first camp and enjoyed a great pizza and good beers in a Portuguese restaurant. When I crawled into bed later I heard the first rumbles of thunder in the distance. Little did I know I would experience one of the ehaviest rainfalls and thunder of my life and that is saying a lot growing up in the South African highveld. But I enjoyed every minute of it. I was cosy, warm and dry in my bed and could really only marvel at the consisting hard rain and thunder. There was only half a second to a second between the ligtning flash and the thunder crash. I would have been worried if I was under a lonely high tree but in Luxembourg mountains you are surrounded by Spar trees.
